I'm actually coming up on my 1 year anniversary here on the forum- Most of you guys know I made pipes back in the 80's,took off 30 years or so to raise the family, and started making pipes again last May. I thought I'd celebrate by actually doing something traditional - a billiard with a not so traditional horn and ebonite stem...modeled the shape after a Group 4 Dunhill from my friend Val Shanahan...and here's the result...

I like the slightly longer shank, and the blast (?) briar. Really fetching balance to the pipe. I'd never

mistake it for a Dunhill, which is a nice feature. It has much in common, yet it is a different creature.

Outstanding Zack! That is one beautiful billiard. Can't figure out how you married the ebonite and the horn, though. Is the tenon horn or rubber?
