Don't know if any of you are like me, but I seem to get my second wind when the sun goes down and as a result, I'm usually up late into the night. Anyway, just wanted to jump on here and tell you guys that I just pulled the trigger on my first large (at least to me) order of tobacco from P&C. It seems like I spent most of my day gathering research and looking at reviews of different blends that I thought I might want to try. Since I'm fairly new to the world of various tobacco blends, I'm still trying my hand at different categories and seeing what is pleasing to my palette. It's funny...my first experience with a "real" virginia blend was a tin of McClelland Deep Hollow. I bought it on a whim a few months back and smoked it semi-regularly until the tin was gone. Up until the last bowl or two, I was describing the tobacco as, "meh.". But now I find myself craving that flavor of a well cured Va. So most of my tins that I ordered were on the VaPer side of things, if I'm not mistaken. Here's a little sample of what I bought:
-Seattle Pipe Club Mississippi River (this blend was my main reason for placing another order..been craving it since I ran out)
-Frog Morton Cellar
-C&D Kajun Kake
-C&D Bayou Night
-McClelland Virginia Woods
There's more than that. Like I said, just a sample. I tried to get a healthy mix of Va, VaPer, light english and a couple that I think qualify as heavy english. I also tried to keep most of them in the medium to full strength area as well as medium to full flavor. Anyway, my brain is beginning to shut down. I'll get on here tomorrow and try and post a full ledger of what is coming.
