I love the Rubenesque 320. Can't clench, from the looks of it, but it just looks to svelte and confident...

I rarely clench anyway, so it usually doesn't bother me if I can clench a pipe or not. I'll be loading mine up again in about an hour or so. Hopefully relive the epic smoke I had last night, but I'll be taking out the converter this time.

If you are looking for a 320, this sandblast 320 EX was just listed as a BIN on Ebay. The blast is incredible and it looks to have a vulcanite, no-filter stem.

Im enjoying my first bowl of Black Frigate in my Savinelli 320 Monsieur. Oh, and the pipe above this post......I just bought it.

The Black Frigate is pretty good. I don't think it will be an all day burner for me BUT it has a fantastic taste. Way different than it smells in the tin. I like the cake and the moisture level out of the tin is perfect. The 320 is a good choice for this smoke. I tossed the filters and am not using an adapter so my airway is full on open. Perfect for sipping with zero effort.

Sweet 320's in this thread.
I've been eyeballing some 320's myself lately. I really like the look of them.
Unfortunately, everyone who has one seems to say that they do best with balkans and englishes and don't do so well with virginias.
Since virginias and VaPers is pretty much all I smoke, I'm afraid I'll wind up with a really handsome 320 that sits on the rack and never gets smoked ...
Thoughts?

Nice grab on the 320, Ashdigger. And glad you liked your first bowl of Black Frigate. Gonna be a 320 Frigate day for me as well, today. Looking forward to another great smoke. Every smoke so far has been golden :)
Eltice, thank you! The 320s in the Marte line are really handsome looking pipes. And they won't break the bank.
I've found myself looking at the Punto Oro line lately, which are supposed to be one of Savinelli's higher grades, but for some reason it appears they are dip stained, as the photos show stain in the bowls. Not necessarily a deal breaker for me, but I'd think they'd leave their higher graded pipes with a naked chamber. I've seen some with fantastic grain though. I have other pipes with a coating and or stain in the bowl, and it's never been a real issue for me. Any taste usually gets smoked out after a few bowls it seems.

Anthony, I'm still trying to figure out if I hate you or love you. Since you posted about 320's I've purchased three of them.

I have 2 and would like a couple more, plus the Churchwarden idea. I'm going to talk to a carver about the idea. Maybe a pipe with 2 stems.

@ Shaintiques. :( I've been told it wouldn't be a good idea because of the size of the shank. If you get a second opinion, let me know, because I still like the idea.
@ Ashdigger. Save some for me!

If my house were on fire my Sav 320 would be the first pipe I grab. The only negative might be its weight, but that's countered by a substantial and partially bent stem and button that makes it easy to clench.
