All three are basket pipes. The first one I got in The Pipe and Tobacco store in little rock. Is just marked Italian Briar.

The next two are Calabresi's. I bought these at the Tenderbox, in the Wolfechase mall in Memphis. Up till I got these, I was smoking a MM Hardwood pipe, a Medico, and a Dr.Grabow Omega. But i have since given my father the Omega for his first pipe.

If they smoke the way you want them to and they make you happy and content, then they are good pipes. I like the bent pipe shape.

Calabresis are made by Brebbia and Mastro de Paja, so you made some good choices.

The earlier pipes were just a figment of his imagination. Right now his dad's pretty pissed because his son gave him an imaginary pipe! :)
I've got a Grabow Omega, and maybe it doesn't get as much love as my others, but it still is a pipe, as many bowls of Plumcake, Blue Note, and 1Q will attest!

Nice looking pipes. One of my favorite pipes is a Lorenzo from The TinderBox. I don't use it much anymore,....it's had a hundred bowls of goopy aromatics run through it, so it's dedicated to them now and I kinda got away from the fruity stuff.
Have fun smoking them while you shop for your Savinelli and Nording.

A great start, both for you and for your dad. With a bit of care, you'll still be enjoying them when you're his age and beyond. Welcome to the brotherhood!

All 3 look spectacular. I love the bent shapes...straights really aren't my cup of tea although my personal best pipe is a straight.
