I made this a few years ago after obtaining a particularly nice piece of briar. Smokes great, feels good in the hand, stays cool from the mass of wood, and has a pretty big bowl, all the things I love in a pipe!

I love the plateau rimmed Danish freehand style of pipes, and you did a fantastic job with that hand made! Kind of a mix between a pickaxe and an acorn. Beautiful pipe sir!

Thanks, a good piece of briar almost determines the pipe all by itself, given teh shape of the block and the direction of the grain. This was the natural shape that came from the raw block. It was just begging to get out!
