Just got this pipe in the mail today. First vintage Kaywoodie I have bought. I will be smoking it but I thought it was pretty sweet.

I'm pretty sure I had bid on that pipe. It's a true beauty, and ought to be a great smoker. Glad you snagged it!

I love my two estate Kaywoodies I have so far, I plan on adding more. I have a 1940's sandblasted Dublin and a 1929 smooth Dublin and they are great smokers. I hope yours smokes as well as mine do, great buy!

Thanks guys for the kind words. I'm getting hooked on these old kaywoodies. I remember pipe smokers saying these old kaywoodies were the equivalent or better than the dunhills of that era. I don't have any dunhills, but that says a lot. Keep on smokin.

I can't speak to the Dunhills, having never smoked one, but every one of my old Kaywoodies are great smokers.

Congrats - that is a great looking KW and a 1940s one too - can't beat it. I am fast becoming a fan of the Zulu shape myself.

Wow. Love that pipe. Thanks for sharing! I've heard nothing but good things about old Kaywoodies. I'll have to keep an eye out. If you smoke it, let us know how it goes!
