Memorialized as a Meerschaum pipe.

I was cleaning out the cabinets in my home office and found this pipe. It's a Meerschaum sculpture of our dog Sasha
given to me by my then girlfriend back in 1982. She was a sweet mutt and this brought back some nice memories. The detail on the pipe is amazing and the likeness quite accurate. The signature on the pipe is Baloi and I have no idea if it was carved by a local
artisan or carved in Turkey

If I called my better half a “Sweet Mutt” I wouldn’t be able to see outta both eyes for a week.

That’s a beauty of a pipe. Really. Love it!

The dog was the sweet mutt, the girlfriend turned out to be a real bitch though. Our parting words were "you go but leave the dog"

That is a cool idea. I would have never thought of doing that. Girlfriends may come and go but a dog's love will always last even when there is no money for treats.
