I am not infected. However, I do have a PAD variant: RAD (Rossi Acquisition Disorder). Over the last few months, I have found it near impossible to keep from buying these amazing bargain pipes, at even more bargain prices. I believe that I now have nine of these Rossi pipes. All but, the two pictured, are from the, least expensive, Vittoria line. I have purchased these wannabe-Savanellis for under $50 each. In fact, I paid $21 each for every one of the Victorias. This is cob money! I watched sales and got discounts and sometimes leveraged both. The two pictured pipes were 30% off this past weekend and I got both for $100 including shipping. Sadly, these were not from sponsor sites so, I will not give them extra publicity. If you are curious, I will answer PMs. The $21 pipes are now, presumably, gone.

I have been pleased with every one of these pipes and they have smoked as good as my Savinellis. They are, obviously, not as pretty as a Punto Oro but, they are workman pipes, with all of the great Savinelli shapes. I now find myself actually collecting pipes (says the guy with 70+). I feel the need to complete the Vittoria line. The prices have been my disorder‘s justification.

My current condition aside, I truly recommend these pipes to newer smokers, especially budget smokers, and anybody just wanting a quality inexpensive pipe. I own Dunhill, Castello, Savinelli, Ascorti, Caminetto, Barling, GBD, Peterson, you name it pipes. There is just something about getting a Rossi on the cheap that has me collecting.

Frankly, I think the Rossi pipes without filters smoke better than the Savinellis. The fit and finish is always excellent, given the opaque finish that covers who-knows-what. They could all use some work on the buttons. I suppose I need to learn how to refine those. I'm on the verge of buying another one just to make the free shipping minimum on some tobacco.

Awesome post. I love my Rossi. I'm not one for expensive pipes. And to find mine for cheap, that u fell in love with instantly is great.

I've been debating getting a Savinelli, because I know how well my Rossi smokes. But hearing that they smoke just as good, makes me happy.

And the fact that the stems are acrylic, and made by Savinelli is perfect for me.

I was really rough on my Rossi, and it handled everything I could throw at it. It'll be the first pipe I smoke after my Grabow run, in August.
