While you will see these jars on the counter at your local B&M tobacconist, they are not recommended for longterm storage, as the rubber seal will slowly dry out and leak moisture. Longterm storage is best done in the standard mason jars with the two-piece lids (i.e., lid and ring) or heat-sealed mylar bags.

(Your tobacconist's jars are refilled often with fresh tobacco due to turnover via sales, so that's why the tobacco inside them doesn't seem to dry out. For cellar storage, go with mason jars/mylar.)

Of course, the fact that BCA is heavily topped/cased with Propylene Glycol is working in your favor.
