My Best Smoke Yet

I have been working on slowing down my cadence and a bowl lasts 30-45 minutes.
Tonight a bowl out of my MM Country Gentleman was a 1 hr and 30 minutes and I tasted Cherry on every sip. That is the first time that I actually tasted the tobacco the same as it smelled in the bag!
It wasn’t just the cadence, but a combination of that and keeping the ember to a smolder that I finally achieved that first perfect smoke.
Thank you to each and every one of you that spend your time on here to render your knowledge of how to make this a very enjoyable experience.

Seconded. When I started, I got bigger bowls so I could have a smoke that lasts. Now a big pipe lasts almost two hours and I’ve started loading half bowls. But the flavours are there.

Soon, the final frontier: having Virginias fail to taste like Canadian cigarettes.

Yes I used the breathe method and was able to keep ember small.

Yeah, next bowl was Maltese Falcon in Dr Grabow, the tobacco is a lil moist .
