That's coloring quicky I think. I have an Altinay starting to show similar coloration with over 100 smokes so far.
Perhaps I won't be so strict on keeping the cake down.

Seems to be coloring up nicely a bit already. I'm about to pack up bowl 41 in my new Tekin and it's not that colored but it's a much larger piece of meerschaum.

Going by other posts and threads, Altinay pipes seem to color more slowly.

Actually that is quite true. An occasional scrape of the bowl and a feather down the stem and you are all good. As to the pipe I really couldn't comment.
