Good morning my tobacco connoisseurs! So, I really like flavored Tabacco's, and I am looking for new types to try that you think are a must. I have tried many and am open to anything. My favorite so far is cult Blood Red moon!

Lane Ltd. is as good a place to start as any. Decent quality bulk, relatively cheap. TK-6 is their cherry aromatic. BCA is a nice pastry-esque cavendish offering, but it's a bit overpowering. Something like Ashton Winding Road is a tad more mellow if vanilla is your thing, though the Ashton line is tin only.

Happy to help. Lane has a lot of vanilla offerings too, some of which I find redundant; for example, LL-7 and RLP-6 taste exactly the same to me. 1Q is immensely popular, but it's just VAs and Black Cav, no burley. The absence is noticeable. MV-1000 is another...and of course, there's SWRA. Lots of choices!

Personally, I'm not a huge cherry fan. I do keep a jar of BRM around for the infrequent occasion, but as far as aros go, vanilla is my go-to. My most heavily cellared of those are Sutliff 1M and Mac Baren Original Choice & Vanilla Cream for my vanilla forays, but those first two are going away, and the other is likely to change components courtesy of the STG acquisition.

I'll add to the chorus by saying that the Lane blends are worth checking out if you're a fan of Blood Red Moon. I actually like their Very Cherry even better than Blood Red Moon! It's a pretty similar blend, except instead of having chocolate and vanilla as the secondary flavor notes Very Cherry has almond pastry and cinnamon secondary notes. It reminds me a lot of the flavor of a cherry danish sprinkled with slivered almonds and cinnamon on top, and it's a bit less wet than Blood Red Moon so it leaves your pipe a little cleaner and less damp after smoking.

My #1 recommendation for a Blood Red Moon fan though would actually be Captain Black Original! It's basically Lane RLP-6 but with the flavor strength of the creamy vanilla topping significantly increased, and it's probably my favorite sweet aromatic.

It's a darn shame Sutliff is going out of business since they made a ton of aromatics in the same sort of style of Blood Red Moon, but if you can get your hands on some Sutliff Pumpkin Spice before it's all gone I'd highly recommend it! Pumpkin Spice was always my favorite of the Sutliff aromatics and reminds me of the autumn whenever I smoke it.puffy

You'll probably love KBV's Sakura.

Aromatics can get kind of goopy like the ones Sutliff makes, it's not for everybody, but once in a while I enjoy a bowl of Panna Cotta/Dulce de Leche.

That said, my preferred aromatics are the ones with a more natural casing. Gawith made a lot of great blends pre-2021 - something like American Cherry, Cherry rope. Their peach/rum/chocolate offerings are great too. Bob's Chocolate Flake is one of my favorite vapors.

DM me if you want some samplers!

Lane TK-6. It's Cult Red Moon in bulk. At least, according to a source at Lane some years back.

A lot of bulks get tinned under different labels. 1Q had at least 26 different labelings at on point in time. Everyone thinks it's something different because it's named differently and some will die on that hill because they're very suggestible and can't admit their precious tin is actually a tinned bulk that they could buy for a lot less.

Even when people know the same blend, like a couple of the former "Dunhill" blends, is available in both bulk and tins they will insist that the tobaccos are different products, like that makes any kind of sense from a production and profit standpoint.

After 20 years, Lane BCA is still one of my favorites. It's vanilla, not cherry. But I think everyone should try it.

If you want some vanilla, I am smoking Ken Byron Ventures Noble Aztec. It's quite vanillay.
