Hahaha Hobie that is hilarious!! I don't think it's necessarily about following peers though, I would say it's about enjoying an art. All music is art in one form of another, you may like a clean realistic panting, others may like things that are a little more abstract and dark. I would say that metal is just another form of art that floats some people's boats. Definitely takes some time to get into, no doubt you think the paintings that are random ink blots that sell for millions and look absolutely heinous are ridiculous. But they are both very similar, not a lot of people understand what's going on and what makes either of them art, there are some who do and still do not like it and lastly their are the few that get what's goin on in the music and lyrics and they appreciate the time, energy, and passion that was put into the random ink thrown over a canvas, metal music.
