Lately I've been noticing a new--I think--kind of Nording pipe. The top of the rim/chamber reminds me of a mushroom. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of pipe? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger, but I'd like to get your thoughts first.

I have 6 Nordings. They are some of the best holding, smoking and interesting pipes I have. You will not be disappointed. :puffy:

I've found myself browsing Nordings again as well. One can never have too many Nordings in my opinion. Enjoy the heck out of it!

I was gifted a Nording freehand and it is an excellent pipe. Nording was trained as an engineer, so the drilling and other precision aspects of his pipes is uniformly excellent, whether you are talking high end or one of his econo-pipes like the Eriksen line (I have one of those too). I've noticed the mushroom pipes. Highly distinctive. I think most any Nording will be a fine smoker. They also tend to have good ample sized bowls and are light weight for their size.

Two pipes in two days. I am suffering from terminal PDA. We need to put together a charitable foundation for people like me. I volunteer to be treasurer of the new group of donors to fight this hideous malady. Just PM me for an address to send funds...

I got my two Nordings today... Wow. These are nothing like my previous Nording pipes: more organic and even less symmetrical than even his usual asymmetrical work. They look like something that sprang into being on the floor of some enchanted forest. They provide a fulsome feeling in hand, and the smoke itself superb. I don't see how it can get better than this. Thankfully, though, I'm probably wrong. But bravo, Mr. Nording!

Apologies for being absent from this thread. I purchased both pipes from SmokingPipes.com. They have other Nordings that are variations of these two available. Happy huntings!
