Multiple Bowls Going?

Just a general question, do you ever have multiple bowls going so that you can switch back and forth? I would assume it's done but might be more common in the habanos world, having two different cigars going so that they play off of each other. I've had an ok cigar that i will put down and light something completely different and when i go back to the first cigar it's much better and you pick up a lot more of the nuances.

Nope. I select a blend to smoke because I want to taste that blend.

No, if I want to mix tobaccos, I mix them together in a pottery bowl and smoke it as one mixture. Smoking a pipe, for me, requires a certain amount of focus, and switching back and forth wouldn't facilitate that. I might try it once. I think that would do it.

Once I get my pipe going, I'm in a "zen zone" (with great taste, relaxed breathing, no relights or tamping, a perfect temperature beverage near by, good book in my lap) and don't want it to end - which usually means someone in my family is about to need something and interrupt me.

As a result, I can't imagine smoking two different pipes at the same time (although sometimes I smoke a cigarette while my pipe is lit for a quick nicotine fix).

For the record i meant lit a pipe and not had it be what you were looking for, set it aside and went with something else and when you went back to the first bowl later it was better. But seems people here just know exactly what they want when they want it.

I often have two or three pipes with partially smoked bowls going at any one time. Almost every day I'll take a pipe on a dog walk and if I don't finish the bowl it'll go into this rotation, getting finished up over multiple 5-10 minute smokes spread out over a few days. Some blends seem to taste great the next day after being partially smoked, others not so much.

Since I picked up a few cobs, yes. One has dark fired Kentucky, one has BCA, one is for the sweet aromatics. I'll take a few puffs, then take a break and go to the next one. Helps me discern the flavors and what I like not only from the tobacco but from each pipe/filter combo. Mostly to get a better idea of what I like before finding a few "staples"

I suppose I’m still at that point of trying a lot of new blends, figuring out my sweet spots for blends and blend and pipe combinations.
