He was on my mind today as well. I hadn’t seen him comment for awhile and was wondering myself.
I'm sure he's fine. Old squids don't fade away. They make sure to leave an ink mark and sink like a whale poo poo. I'm pretty sure he's still around. Just busy with the holidays.
He's prolific poster so one does wonder where he has been,
If I remember correctly, Tom has had some computer issues. Perhaps his computer finally kicked the bucket.

Has anyone been in touch with him off the forum via telephone, e-mail, or in-person? It would be nice to know he’s okay and just offline because of computer problems.

Lure him out with a burley thread, or perhaps ask for some recommendations on dog-walker cigars. Jokes aside he could just be busy with holiday stuff. Maybe hold off the alarm til post-holidays. And if it is a computer issue maybe he’ll get a new one for Christmas.

This happens all too often. A well known poster suddenly disappears and there is no way for any one to know what happened. I really wish community forums had a solution where a moderator could reach out via the contact email to inquire about the missing regular.
Im pretty sure mods have email addresses. Perhaps a registration agreement box to check if its ok to be contacted if members are searching?????? Seems easy enough. Its not like people wonder about every member every week. I know I opted to have notifications sent to my email if I get a PM.
PMs are only good if the recipient has arranged to receive notifications. I personally don’t allow it and only see PMs if I am signed in. When a regular goes missing cold turkey style, it never bolds well in my opinion. It can cause worry - of course.

Maybe he realized what a bunch of retards we are, and has moved on to greener pastures. I always enjoy his presence here, so hopefully he finds his way back.
