Mowed the grass for the first time this year

I just got through mowing thick wet grass. Lots of rain last night. This was also the semi-annual trade positions of the lawnmower / snowblower. I finished up by taking the 350 lbs of sand out of the back of the truck. If you don't know why I had weight in the back of my truck, you have never driven in snowy weather.

My avatar picture is the only time I needed the snowblower this year, and it didn't start. We have already had two weeks with 80+ degree weather. I hope the summer is not blazing hot.

I had to mow as well, today. I live in Northwestern Europe and usually I can put it off to the second week of April, but now I had trouble getting it cut this soon in the season. The mower had quite a hard time with it, but it did start at the first try after nearly six months of neglect. Did some jockeying as well, bicycles out for the dinghy. Best part of the day: sitting outdoors in a t-shirt with a nice bowl of Caledonian and a cold beer, enjoying the looks and smell of a freshly mowed lawn.

I lucked out the wife mowed while I was at work Friday! :nana: The back is still too wet. Its been very warm but raining quite a bit also.

Same story in Chicago. I can't recall ever mowing grass this early in the Spring.

I've been working non-stop on our MGB, so my wife has already mowed twice. Time for the Spring weed & feed soon.
