Sorcerer is in my top 10 movies of all time. Maybe a decade ago now I saw a 35mm print of it with 4-track magnetic sound at Quentin Tarantino’s theater in L.A. It was almost a religious experience, pure cinema.
Indeed. My brother had a cinema room and Sorcerer on lazer disc. Forced me to watch it.

Damn movie changed my life!

If you're not acquainted with Kurosawa's work, you're missing out on some great flicks. I would recommend you watch THE SEVEN SAMURAI first. It's one of the greatest movies ever made. puffy
Seven Samurai is definitely a good one. Yojimbo, and Sanjuro is also very nice. Hidden Fortress, and Red Beard.. Golden age of Samurai movies Kurosawa and Mifune was one heck of a combo.

Wake In Fright (1971). Free on YouTube. It's in English but has subtitles. It's worth watching if you've never seen it. A truly unique film and its got Donald Pleasence in it.

Curse Of The Demon/Night Of The Demon (1958). Again, free on YouTube.

You fellas bringing out the big guns!

I’ll add another, this one’s a personal favorite of mine, the Cornwall setting just totally sucks me in. I probably watch this movie every other fall, as a vibe adjustment or seasonal shift, it kills off the summertime spirit for me.

I’m reminded of this because @smudgersmissingleg brought up another heavy rotation movie for me with ‘Wake in Fright.’ I usually watch that one every other year too but in the dog days of summer, when the heat starts to get to your head, it’s the perfect pairing like a pint chug of ale.

STRAW DOGS 1971: FULL MOVIE

…. To be honest, I prolly can’t withstand Susan George in her prime for long, but the whole film and locations a beaut.

Straw Dogs is a great movie. The 1970s was a brilliant time for cinema.

Cheers for the heads up, btw. I haven't seen it in a number of years and I didn't know it was free on YouTube. I'll watch that Saturday👍.
