Briar fox is excellent too. I have 1lb or so sitting around that I’ll smoke once it has a couple years on it. I think it has more VA than Pegasus does so I figured some age would do it good. If all I had to smoke was Briar Fox instead of Pegasus I wouldn’t be too bothered.
It does indeed have more VA and definitely improves with age. The oldest I've had is 4 years and it was excellent.

I am curious to hear if the blends people smoke the most are also their "favorites". Although, one could argue that if you smoke one blend the most, it could be your favorite.

I'll list 4, because that's all I can reasonably come up with.

1. C&D Briar Fox - this one has taken over top spot for me over the last several months.

2. GLP Embarcadero

3. Mac Baren Navy Flake

4. Brunello Flake

I smoke a whole bunch of other stuff here and there, but these 4 are the main stays.

I consider MB Navy Flake to be a favorite, as well as Brunello Flake. Briar Fox and Embarcadero are my two go-to blends when I just want to smoke something.

How about you?

A lot of my favorite blends are heavy latakia/perique forward stuff or even a beefy aromatic, so a lot of times for a quicker, easier, lighter smoke I go with something that's more virginia or virginia dominant.

There is a big distinction between my most smoked blends and my favorite blends and the primary reason is availability. My all-time favorite blend was a McClelland bulk blend and I have limited supply so I smoke it rarely. A few other favorites are hard to come by (Stonehaven, Cabbie's Mixture, FVF, etc.) so I don't smoke them as often as I'd like either.
As a result, the blends I smoke most often are the ones that I really enjoy and that are readily available.
