Those pesky bugs, make it difficult to enjoy a pipe.....we have been having alot of rainy and wet weather here! Guess I need to lit a citronella candle with my pipe

Gotta smoke that heavy latakia GAS to keep the pesky buggers away.

Smoke seems to keep them at a distance. Ideally, an elevated deck, 10 feet or so, works also. Skeeters don't fly very high, at least in my neighborhood.
Oh man. I made the mistake about 3 weeks ago of assuming skeeters weren’t “out yet”. Could not have been more wrong. Despite the pipe smoke, I fed ALL the mosquitos in my yard that night. Citronella fucks up the pipe experience for me so now I wear sweat pants, mid-shin height socks and bug spray on my arms and neck. The skeeters in Nashville are absolutely not fucking around.
The ones we've got on the Gulf Coast this year are big enough to strap a saddle on and go for a ride.
Never had a problem with them. Others around can be getting eaten alive but they avoid me.
I'm the same. They loved my wife but, seemed to shun me. What few bites I experience over a summer rarely are noticed. Lots of theories abound, body odor, sweat and even diet may contribute to one's attractive to those voracious females.
Exactly the same with me. I won't see a single bug of any kind, and my wife will get multiple bites. They love her for some reason!
Haven't smoked a pipe since March and no cigarettes or chew for a few weeks. My mother and youngest daughter were never bothered by mosquitoes either.Maybe it’s all the nicotine.
Plenty of rain in NJ, but it’s been too cold for them to come out I reckon. Havnt seen them yet.
