Then you need to give me a 'like' and a virtual hug
The truth is - I have no ritual that involves pipes. I smoke a pipe whenever the mood hits me - it might be if I wake up at 2:00 in the morning.
But I do have morning rituals (since you, @Richmond B. Funkenhouser , care. Each morning between 5:45 and 7:15 I feed my dog, then clean the kitchen top to bottom, then put a pot of water on to boil for a large cup of 1/2 Twinings Irish Breakfast tea, 1/2 something similar and decaf. I add two spoons of sugar and some 30% cream and then drink it while checking a few things on the internet. I then typically do a double-snort of a mentholated snuff and then might go sit on the front porch and smoke a small bowl of a straight Virginia, or I load the pipe for a dog-walk and pour the tea into a paper cup.
As of today, since some heart specialist sent me a monitor (no email, no letter, 5 months after seeing my doctor, who also never communicated) and I want to mess with him as best I can, I'm doing a 3-mile jog after the above is completed. Not sure how that will affect when I do the snuff and pipe.
Good. That sounds like a nice pleasant routine.
Doctors suck these days.. Maybe they always have, but it seems that they are less invested in our healthcare than in the past.
