Morning Blend

Good Mornin, Gents. I took my own advice and laid out equal amounts of Prince Albert and Pegasus to dry while I tended to the new pup.

He and I are enjoying a cool morning in the garage while I’m sippin hot, strong, black coffee and a 50/50 blend of Pegasus/Prince Albert.

Fam still asleep. Sunrise and cool morning breezes. Fall leaves ? everywhere. —- Life Is Good.

I’m alway the first person up here as well. I don’t always smoke the same thing first thing in the morning, but today it is C&D Virginia Flake and a cup of coffee, while watching the sun come up. One of my favorite times of the day.

I always start with an early pipe and cup of coffee. Since I usually smoke 2-3 bowls a day, my first one is usually the lightest, most subtlety nuanced blend, graduating to stronger more robust blends later in the day. Right now in my blend rotation that means Fox Provost Mixture, G.L. Pease Ashbury, Mac Baren VA No.1 or maybe C&D Morning Drive. I’m cellared deep on G.L. Pease Piccadilly & Ashbury , Presbyterian, C&D Good Morning and Dunhill EMP as regulars for my morning blends.

It's not a bad combination. The two play well with each other.

Unlike me ... I don't play well with others.

It varies - my favorites in the morning tend to be HH Burley Flake, Match sunrise, or MB Scottish.

Weekends are usually the only time I have a morning smoke, and for the past few months I’ve been smoking KBV Burley Morning Pipe. For my taste, it’s a perfect match with a cup of coffee. I’m down to my last couple of bowls and he hasn’t restocked it lately, so this morning I smoked Vauen No. 14, which was also fantastic with a cuppa.

I typically smoke a Burley Flake in the morning, but I'll do Chelsea Morning from time to time. Today I folded and stuffed some HH Burley Flake and it was a long, cool, tasty smoke.

Decided to try Ennerdale this morning. It goes well with coffee. The almond comes through. New pipe I picked up to dedicate Ennerdale. Smokes great.

I found that the combination did neither blend justice. I’m smokin a bowl of straight Pegasus now. I like each of these for its own. — Seemed a good idea, but I’ll leave the blending to the professionals. ?
