Any of you Morgan bones smokers use Everclear to clean the acrylic stems, I think I read somewhere on the forums that alcohol's not good for acrylic but then other places I think people say it's OK, just wondering your thoughts.
Well two days of smoking Peretti Cambridge flake, five bowls worth, and all is well! Can't say if she hit her stride yet or not.. only time will tell! She will rest for 4 days before I get at her again.
Don't get to excited! I have high hopes for a burn out yet! Maybe I'll keep this thread going for a year and I will document how the natural patina and overall smoking characteristics develop.
Round two with this pot and all is well! ?? There was a weird chunk of carbon that came out of the drought hole when I did my final cleaning looked sorta like it came off the wall of the drought hole, still have high hopes ill be taking one of those pipes jaytex!
On a side note, I noticed some darkening on the shank and discovered that my cheap thrift store pipe stand is transferring the Decatur pipe wax I use on other pipes! There goes my dreams of watching the natural patina come through! Oh well... live and learn! Decided to rub her down with mineral oil to even out the color I just couldn't stand looking at that! Now if any of you know of a good pipe stand preferably made by a Forum member that holds seven pipes I would appreciate it!
