Almost time for an early morning smoke in this sandblasted Cannonball.

How much was that? Did you just get it? I've always considered a Briarworks/Moonshine but their pictures on their website are simply not very appetizing, but that picture you took is pretty nice. I don't like spending more than $100 on a pipe because I abuse them so much, but will pay a little more if it's nice enough...

This one was $135. I’ve used it 3 times and pretty happy with it. I believe they have 1 available right now.

I bought this one last year from Briarworks. I have the other stem on mine and unfortunately this one doesn’t pass a pipe cleaner. I’ve only smoked it 5-6 times, but Will say it hangs/rest extremely comfortable for me. Think I’ll load it up tonight For a smoke. Congratulations on your new pipe! Hope you’re enjoying it.

Ah yes, the taper stem. Nice one, I have been enjoying it for sure. Smokes nice.

So, if you give the pipe cleaner a bend, try sliding it through slowly. When it comes to a stop give it a half turn and it should go through. if not turn it a little more.

Also, try using a pipe cleaner with a little fluff on the end to avoid scratching up your stem. Not sure if it does scratch it but I dont like hearing a scratching sound when i run a pipe cleaner.

Good advice! I followed your instructions and will say that is the magic combination. However, I went through several pipe cleaners trying And fighting it. I would imagine eventually one could get it down. That said, I’m a huge fan overall of Briarworks they are an awesome company as a whole. I have 5 of their pipes and love em.’

Yeah once in a while that happens, but yes I'm a fan as well!

Curious about BriarWorks/Moonshine drilling for some time now...Not that it matters but how is the drilling on their full bents? Will the cannonball pass a cleaner?
Just noticed I didn't reply to you. So theres a trick to it. As soon as the pipe cleaner gets past the stem it dead stops, you give it a 180 twist and it'll pass all the way through. If it doesn't, just a tiny more twist and it's good. I noticed I have to do that to my Peterson Dracula 221 as well.

Ahhh. Got it. Just fill it halfway. Lol
To each his own, and I know it's silly, but I always found partial packs incomplete, as if a pipe is to be smoked, I want to smoke it all the way, which means it's packed full. You want a a shorter smoke? Pack a smaller pipe.

There was something in me that disallowed a partial pack due to the visual weight of the bowl, which was of a size for so much tobacco. A partial pack overrides this basic visual fact.

Funny you mention this. I have a new pipe that wasn’t developing cake towards the bottom. I watched a video that said to fill the pipe halfway or less and to do that multiple times. It sucked and I’m not doing that again. Did that last night so I get it now.
