I made my weekly visit to My tobacco store. I picked up a tin of Sutliff Molto Dolce. Looks like it will be an aromatic blend, but for the price I had to get it. I'll use it in my corn cob in about a half hour. I'm starting to like the English blends better. I'll use thr corn cob for this one. I'll let you all know what I think. The only other aromatics I have and using up are 7 seas, and half and half. Later.:)

Molto Dolce is among the most heavily flavored aromatics, and probably everyone should try it once. If you decide it is a little too much flavor and not enough tobacco, you can cut it with another more tobacco centric blend. Two things to remember. Motto Dolce is not a typical aromatic. Most are more gentle and subtle in the flavoring and use it to bring up and accent the tobacco itself. So you are sampling Molto Dolce and not aromatics in general.

Also, Sutliff does a wide range of blends and most of them aren't this. Don't characterize the brand by this one blend.

I think Molto Dolce was fun to smoke, but I notice, I didn't re-order it and I have no craving for it. To me, it is like the banana split of blends, a good experience, but not something to repeat much. Probably, smoke up the tin and move on.

Ok. I smoked it my corn cob. When i opened the can it smeeled like heaven. Yes , very moist. I packed it in the old cob and smoked it. It smelled very good, Tast , I could pick up some kind of flower tast, also a little honey.but it was good. I only had to tamp it 3 time during the smoke. I only had to relight twice after the first burn. I had no tongue bite what so ever, pipe bowel stayed cool. I really liked smoking it taking a break from the English. It's a keeper. I think I'd like it as a night cap smoke. Would I make it my main tobacco, no. I love trying different blends, but I'll stick with my English blends for an all day smoke.

I've ordered a tin from SP, just to try it too.

I guess the power of advertisement is strong, since the advert played on the PMRS has prompted me to buy some.

Kinda looking forward to trying it, but reading what most y'all say here, you need to be in the mood for it, and I don't have a sweet tooth.
Time will tell.

Oh, quick question for you aromatic smokers. Should I smoke it in a larger or smaller bowl?
Thanks!

To the Molto Dolce fans in the thread: Does it compare to Creme Brûlée? I thought Creme Brûlée was the most candy-coated tobacco on this and most neighboring planets, but I believe you if you say that Molto Dolce has it beat.

This a very wet aromatic. You'll want to leave it out for a couple hours before smoking it and it will still be wet,
Or a couple of months. Not enough subtlety with Molto Dolce, so I cut it with PA or something, lit it, then threw the whole mess away. Did the same with Eileen's Dream and Ranier Professional Mixture. But smoke what you like, as is said by the the cognoscenti and reasonable people. It, uh, smells good. And don't mind me--I actually like, for example, Haddo's Delight, fresh and raw, so am probably not firing on all cylinders.

It is indeed Dan.

I had a bowl of it on Saturday afternoon, having left it out for just over an hour, on a layer of three pieces of kitchen roll. it was still moist. Although it was still good to go.
For the second bowl, I had prepared a refill the same way, but didn't get around to smoking it until maybe 6 or 7 hours later, it was still moist. Smoked about a quarter of the bowl and finished it Sunday afternoon.
Having finished my smoke, during the tap-out, the dottle was extremely wet. although I'm sure that most of the moisture in the bottom of the bowl was from me.
