Yeah, brutal. I guess I need to toss it all. That`s one of the worst cases of mold I have ever seen in a tin.
The so-called plume IS mold. It has been demonstrated by cigar smokers for the Friends of habanos forum. If it is crystalline, it is not plume. But whatever the name, if it is crystalline smoke it, if it is not don't! And it honestly looks fluffy=> trashThat looks to me like plume. Some value this expression. It's said to be crystalized sugar, as I recall.
I was once gifted some old flakes with similar attributes and it was very tasty.
I would look at it under a scope of some sort to see if it was fibrous or crystalline.
You're convinced it's not mold?Just wondering to myself how many people have tossed perfectly fine tobacco due to Sutliffs using of black paper inserts with their casing style. Smoke on!
Well yea, and double extra convinced since you say there is no foul smell. You could always jar it for a few months and see if it spreads, which mold would but this is not. Whatever it is it will not hinder your enjoyment or give you cooties, so why wait. You're convinced it's not mold?
Significantly more. There’s more of the white stuff on the paper than the tobacco, anyone have thoughts on this?

I am thinking the same thing. The fuzz on the paper look a lot more suspect than the white stuff on the tobacco.
Strangely to my eye the stuff on the paper look like mold but the white stuff on the tobacco kind of looks fine...
I agree. The fuzz on the paper look a lot more suspect than the white stuff on the tobacco.

That’s a good sign, but ultimately it’s your lungs not anyone else’s…It didn't have any off-putting smell to it. Just tobacco aroma.
