C&D has always offered to replace moldy tins, but I guess some people still prefer manufacturers to saturate the tobacco with all sorts of chemicals to lower the likelihood of getting mold.
Kind of reminds me of an experiment where a real hamburger and a McDonald's hamburger were placed in separate jars. After a month the real hamburger was moldy but the McDonald's hamburger still looked the same. Makes you wonder what they put in those hamburgers ?
That experiment has been replicated many times; same results every time.
Whenever I've walked into a McDonalds [or Subway for that matter] there's an unmistakable chemical odour.
I've come to the conclusion that it's the smell of preservatives.
No-one wants their tobacco loaded with preservatives [no-one who is sensible that is]
Wouldn't a simple solution be for blenders to pack their product at a lower case ? [lower moisture level]
I'd wager that Daughters & Ryan blends don't ever have issues with mould.
