In my UNrefined approach, I delicately press my ribbons, allowing them to luxuriate within the confines of a press for an entire week. The result? A smoking experience akin to indulging in a delectable crumble cake—far surpassing in flavor sophistication.
I've seen several posts now about making crumble cakes out of ribbon, and I'm definitely interested in giving it a try, if for no other reason than to make more room in my "cellar" by condensing some of the bulk blends I've amassed. It would be interesting to see how the flavor of a blend changes after pressing.

I suppose I do this whenever I smoke flake. Even when I fold and stuff, I squeeze the folded lump a little bit from each side to open up the outer edges. When a tin of flake that’s been open a while starts to fall apart (C&D manufactured flakes tend to do this almost immediately), I’ll just rub the rest out to a coarse ready-rubbed consistency so it’s all generally the same.
