That must not be a basket pipe which can be checked before purchase. Are you going to drill it yourself or send it back for drilling ?
I reached out to SPE then was contacted by Laudisi and told to send it to them. It was $5 to ship so I figured I’d let them take care of it.

Thx for the info on SP eu site. I collect Irish Seconds, most were from the Sherlock Holms series. The flaws on the pipes in my collection are minor, all good smokers. Typical of Petersons in that ere, the stems require more frequent polishing to keep discoloration at bay.
