If you want the product you pay what the market demands. Can't get any simpler than that. I agree there are some great "table" wines available, some cheaper than others. I, unfortunately, was born to drink Silver Oak Cabernet ("Russian River preferred," he added with a disdainful sniff.), the older the better by and large. That wine tickles my taste buds like no other. In my teens it was Boone's Farm Anything. Unfortunately my palate matured. Thankfully my income started to expand about the same time so, it was a wash.
