Market says, "Retailers only charge what people are willing to pay if they wish to stay in business." So, there you go.

Trendy, sophisticated & bragging rights. People have to make a big deal out of everything.

My sisters family in Denmark & their friends all drank boxed wines.

If you want the product you pay what the market demands. Can't get any simpler than that. I agree there are some great "table" wines available, some cheaper than others. I, unfortunately, was born to drink Silver Oak Cabernet ("Russian River preferred," he added with a disdainful sniff.), the older the better by and large. That wine tickles my taste buds like no other. In my teens it was Boone's Farm Anything. Unfortunately my palate matured. Thankfully my income started to expand about the same time so, it was a wash.

I used to be much better at this sort of thing, but transpose what car is that? I think that is a CRV in the garage though.

2015 Honda Accord. And to the right of the CRV is a 1964 Honda 305 Dream.
