MM Cob, DG Briar and Tobacco 75% Off at Local CVS

I stopped by the local CVS Pharmacy to see if they had any piping gear left. Remaining pipes and tobacco were 75% off as they are clearing out all tobacco products. I picked up a smallish MM cob (maybe a Legend?) for less than $3. I have started the hobby with a 3 cobs from a sampler and love them! They seem darn near indestructible as I have been putting them through their paces.
I also bought a Dr. Grabow Savoy, a neat looking bent briar, for under $9. I tossed the filter and smoked a bowl of Newminster Ultimate English. It performed very well right out of the chute. I read some tips about smoking very slowly (still trying to SLOW DOWN!) to build cake. I like the bent shape. It's much easier to monitor the bowl during lighting.
The last purchase was an 8oz bag of Admirall's Choice Cherry Cavendish for $2.50. I'm on a quest to find a smokable cherry blend. Grandpa smoked cherry tobacco. This might be a waste, but for the price I figured it was worth a try.

Yep, I picked up my Grabow and cob yesterday. You can also stock up on bic lighters for around $0.10 a piece! Can't go wrong. I want to hit all the CVS' in my area.

Cults blood red moon, Captain black cherry Cavendish, and Borkum riff cherry Cavendish are my cherry suggestions, but that sounds pretty lucky man, mine were out forever ago.

I picked up 8 new cobs will in Houston and spent about 15 bucks I'll be smoking cobs for the rest of my life.

Of course, no CVS drugstores in Washington as far as I know. Is there an equivalent?

The CVS in my town never really had much for pipe smokers. I was able to score their only pipe today though...a MM cob with a straight black stem for $1.18, along with some Borkum Riff, Captain Black, and Captain Black Gold, each for $2.99. Wish they'd had some Grabows. Oh well, still a nice little score. My wife, the Coupon Queen, should be proud of me! :lol:

I have gone a little crazy and this is not all. I got four more that I am currently smoking. I have hit ever cvs from Pasadena to kingsville. Aaa my precious, my precious cobs....

I just spent the past few hours driving to four CVS stores in the central Maryland area. The first one said they never carried them, so on to the second which was sold out.
The last two stores still had some left. I picked up three MM Cobs and four Grabows (two rusticated and two smooth bent billiards. Instant knock around seven day set for around $40.00 (savings of over $100.00 vs regular retail)
Grabows are around $8.50. The MM cobs are $1.80 a pop.
