Howdy everyone. This time of year attention is usually steered towards aromatics, or other blends that celebrate the cooler weather or evoke memories of either Halloween or the holidays. I don't particularly care that much for Maple flavored blends but a couple of days ago I was wanting to smoke something that was on the sweet side but had more oomph than most aromatics. I like Mixture 79 but it normally leaves me wanting more in the strength dept so while hunting it down I came across a jar of this mixed with 5 Brothers from a couple of years ago. It was somewhere in the neighborhood of a 65/35 Mixture/Bros combo that for me at least fit what I was looking for perfectly. Some sweetness balanced with some strength.

I only offer this up as an interesting mix that somebody may find appealing to them. If you don't like Mixture 79 already you still won't like this blend. But if like me you don't particularly care for Maple flavored blends then this may be an option for you. Doubtless someone has already come up with this before but wanted to put it out there anew now that it is October already. As someone who has famously said in the past, "Keep it Smokey"puffy

People say you can mix 5 Brothers to beef up any blend, without altering the flavor.

I personally find that anything mixed does significantly alter the other.
