Mixing Five Brothers with Virginia Blends

First of all, I am a huge fan of Five Brothers. I can easily go through a pack in a few days. The deep, nutty, one-dimensional and consistent flavor is what I need sometimes. I also found out that it blends really well with Virginias. Not only it tames them, but also adds some background to the blend. My ratio is 1:1. We all know that Burleys burn slower than Virginias, however shag cut doesn't affect the burn rate of a Virginia blend too much, maybe a little.

Most of the time I smoke 5 Brothers straight, but there are times when I mix it with a straight Virginia like C&D's Yorktown (70%) and MacBaren's Virginia #1 (70%) to 30% 5 Brothers. Gives those blends an extra nic hit which I like.

I'm a big burley and and am doing myself a disservice by not having tried Five Bros. I have some Yorktown, too, for mixing. I will have to get on this.
