I wish I'd known about MM cobs when I first started smoking a pipe 40 years ago. They are a true treasure. I have a 2 Diplomats, a Danish Egg, Country Gentleman, and a Legend - all with Forever stems.
I keep 2 or 3 around for guests (they can buy their own Forever stems) and have given them as retirement gifts to several friends. I would definately agree, stay away from the Chinese version.
Thanks for the bump.

I'm well pleased with my four MM cobs, three with Forever stems and one with a softie bit. As most of you know,

these Missouri Meerschaum are made in Washington, Mo., just west of St. Louis. Sadly, one of the Forums members

reports they no longer offer the tour of the shop as they used to. The happy news is that there is now another quality

corn cob pipe maker, Old Dominion, in Virginia, that offers corn cob pipes with the old time bamboo stems. I am

planning to buy one or two of these at the upcoming pipe show at the N.C. State Fairgrounds. These are both great

heritage pipes. If you are a pipe smoker, they are just too enjoyable to miss.
