Interesting article. I have several MM corncobs and they are among my favorites. Briar pipes are deservedly the most popular but cobs are great smokers. Those who like to brag about how much they spend on the prestige pipe makers may not get a lot of ego boost from smoking a cob, but they're really pretty hard to beat.

I keep hoping I'll get routed into the Washington, MO area so I can stop by. My daily pipes are almost exclusively cobs these days. Smoked hard and put away charred! ::

My first 4 pipes were MM corn cobs. I still smoke them and bought some others as well.
