These little legend pipes anyone else’s favorite?
I have only tried cobs, have not venture into briers and only been pipe smoking for about 6 months so forgive me but I have bought a few of the fancy cobs along the way (shire Cobbit, charels towns, country gentlemen) but keep coming back to my cheap legend. It smokes well and holds the perfect amount of leaf for me. And if my hands are dirty I’m not fussed about it.
Just wanted to share my appreciation and see if I’m alone

First pipe of mine was a homemade cob and the others I have had were all MM.

Great little smokers, for sure, when in the mood for a smaller bowl. Life is good when you have what you like and you like what you have.

My first bunch were all MM Corn Cobs as well. I now have many more and many, many more briars. You really don’t need anything else though. Yours looks wonderfully broken in. Nice job!

You my friend are speaking my kind of language!

I have spent hundreds of dollars on pipes, but if I lost my Legend, I would be destroyed.


And a comparison: Mine-- 10 years old, Vs New

Ive repaired 2 cracks, and the joint where the stem goes into the bowl over the years with wood putty.
Shes old and warn, but I have a special bond with her.

I’m mostly a briar guy, but I do have a Legend and a Country Gentleman that I take camping and for other outdoor things. Little workhorses, they are.

I love cobs. I smoke more briars. I have the Pony, Dagner, Stubby, Devil, St. Louie, and the St. Patty, mini, and I forgot the other one. I love all of them. I should reach for them more often. Good smokers great price.

Nothing beats an ole rank cob. They are cheap, have open draws, & you can beat the piss outta them and they come back for more. My favorite pipe in this MM Emerald. ️

I'm with you brother. It was my first pipe also, I still smoke it. I could smoke exclusively with corncob pipes.

I do love my cobs. I smoke my Country Gents, Mark Twains, and Boones the most. Don't have anything smaller than a Patriot. Have a couple of those, and a couple of Washingtons.

Smoking a MM Diplomat with some CS Cowboy Coffee as we speak...started with MM Cobs and still smoke them often.
