Obviously I cannot speak for Jay, but we have been in touch several times in the past, most recently in July of this year. To the best of my knowledge he is well and continues to have the great sense of humor and intelligence which has been displayed on the forum for years.
On another note, I have noticed the absence of Briar Lee. I certainly hope that he and his wife are alright.

Ditto on Briar Lee. I think his wife has health concerns, but he also may simply be finding new distractions in his new state of retirement.

Briar Lee is unfortunately no longer a member of this forum.

FWIW Briar Lee is still enjoying his Kirkland coffee, his high grade, ancient, pre 54, oil cured, unvarnished, unstained, and unpainted aged Algerian briar, made by disabled American war veterans in the shadow of the Capitol dome in Washington D.C :ROFLMAO:

Don't want any of you to get the wrong idea, he's just doing his reminishuns of Bug Tussle and Humansville elsewhere.

I shall miss is ramblings.........I could always close my eyes and be transported to America that once was and now lost to time, a snap shot of real world Huck Finn.
He tried to tell what he said that got him banned, but it didn’t make any sense. I mean I know what he said but to hear him tell it - well the story took on a new incredible level of disbelief. Kinda like the way he compares Marxmans to Dunhills.
