Our featured guest on tonight’s Pipes Magazine Radio Show is the host of the Pipe & Tamper Podcast, Mike Murphy. Brian and Mike will have an extended chat revolving around the days before, during and after the Las Vegas International Pipe Show. We will hear about their travels to the show and the anxiety of Hurricane Milton bearing down on Florida at the same time while running a show and not knowing if your house is going to be there when you get home. In the end, the show went great and our homes survived, although many others in Florida were not so lucky. We’ll have clips from the show, and shoutouts to other podcasts and vlogs that were broadcasting from the pipe show.

The show airs every Tuesday at 8:00pm eastern US time, and can be found at PipesMagazine.com and all podcast apps.

Great recap show!

I had a blast at the Las Vegas International Pipe Show. It was fun hanging out in the hospitality suite with old friends and making new. Friday I had a great time showing my Sam Adebayo collection. Highly recommend participating in it. This year I had a battle plan for the show. I allocated my budget into separate envelopes and printed out the PDF of the tables to mark down the ones I wanted to stop by, so I’d have an efficient route mapped out. I was able to get all the pipes I wanted and even a couple I hadn’t planned on. The dinner was really good and the game show games were fun. Sunday was more lounge time with fellow pipers before making some table rounds which included a late show pick up of a nice sandblasted Lovat from Canadian carver Nate Rose. He’s doing some great things, highly recommend checking out his pipes. At the end I was exhausted, but on such a natural high. Pipe shows always rejuvenate my love for the hobby.

Thanks Brian and Dave for putting this show on every year and helping create these incredible friendships and memories.
