My job that is Not the pipe. I love my job I love to cook. But the Company I work for is 160,000 in the hole at the account That i work at and they are Blaming the employes. I will miss the students and friends I have made over the last 3 years working there but the Drama isn't worth it. I guess I will have to smoke a few bowels to think it over it is not like jobs that pay well are easy to come by. I think some Squadron leader will do the trick.

You might want to smoke something else and chill out. :rofl: But at the rate of unemployment we now have, I'd think twice about just giving your income up, as the drama is simply drama, and only affects the people who let it bother them. The secret of life is: NOTHING MATTERS Doesn't matter what happened 15 years ago does it? Or last week, it's gone and is completely irrelevant now. I've been in your place a couple times Charles. Worked a couple places that started suffering. I could tell that they were destined to fold and that can have a vast array of effects on the company as well as employee moral. This in turn can cause a lot of drama in the work place as people begin to do as you are, worrying about their job. And to blame your employees for business problems is crazy.......... Would you also get the thumbs up if business was rocking and the money rolling in? Probably not.
I decided in both cases that I'd "Ride the horse till it dropped" and was one of the last people out the door at both places when they did as I thought they would and closed the doors. That being said, I was searching for a job while I still worked there, but most the time you can't find anything close to what you already have in pay and the comfort you have from working the same place for a while. Also, it's just really hard to start a new job.
Take your time, pay as little attention to the strife at work as you can and just hang in there.
And your idea to have a bowl, or two, and think about it is a good one. That's what I'd do too.

Spartan, while your advice should be good advice, at least to someone with common sense. I found in both my cases that the superiors didn't want to hear anything from the employees. I found that they thought since they were the ones in charge, that only they knew what was truly going on. I did bring several things to their attention that would have at least slowed the spiral until they could catch their breathe. But it only caused more drama for myself and I decided to just go about my job and hang on for the ride.
That being said, not all companies are run with this type of thinking, so I'd at least give it one shot. The worst can happen is you'll be looking for a new job, which seems you may be already anyway.

Thats exactly why I lost my job SD. I had the nerve to tell my boss that running an 18 wheeler with no Insurance was a bad idea.
I kept my job for about 15 minutes after that :rofl:

I've previously worked for two companies that no longer exist. In both cases, the evidence was there that the management was having trouble coping with change and were using Dilbert comics as their template for working things out. :-D I stayed for a while, but when new opportunities arose, I included the management direction of my current employer in making my decision.

Years ago, I worked for a truckline in serious trouble. Pay cycle on bills went from 60 to 90 to beyond. Finally the papers said the mob had taken over and were syphoning off assets. I went back to school and my parents kept sending me news articles as the inditements went over 100.

I just lost my job this month. Major company done some restructuring and closed some branches that were not producing as much as expected and mine was one of them. It was funny because sales shot through the roof when we found out we were all losing our jobs. No one threatened our jobs on a weekly basis any more and we all relaxed. I doubled my average sales that week. Last day with very limited product was my best day ever.
Good news is, my branch back in Utah has an opening for me. The same route I had before I moved to NC. Coincidence? And I never had my job threatened by that manager. He knew my potential and let me do my own thing to make money.
