About to buy an ounce of each of these blends... Hopefully to spend my birthday smoking my new churchwarden by Mesut and watching the LOTR trilogy with my wife and a few micro brews.
Anybody had any experience with these blends? Any opinions?

It seems a lot of chaps on the "what are you smoking now" threads are enjoying the Shortcut to Mushrooms. I'm definitely intrigued. Let us know how you find them, Nate!

My favorite is Shortcut to Mushrooms. All of them are really good blends. I would recommend them all really.

Ive just ordered a sampler pack i figured it would be worth a try as ive never tried anything but aromatics. These seem to have a mix of aromatic and english. So meh if i dont like im only in it 10 bucks.

Nice, I've been looking for those blends! Glad someone still has them at a decent price. Just bought 2oz of each :)
Off topic - Does anyone know the "proper" way to store or cellar tobacco? Or could someone at least point me in the right direction?
If I end up loving these LOTR blends then I may buy a lot of it to hang on to for a few years.
Thanks!

Just smoked some Shortcut to Mushrooms in my MM Cob. I actually like it better in a briar pipe, but I won't turn down a cob full.

Half pint mason jars are excellent for long term storage. Bob has an excellent article on the site for cellaring.

Thanks to all the buzz and Bob's review I sent away for Shortcut to Mushrooms and an aromatic sampler pack; last Friday. I've been smoking Shortcut today. I think it's a pretty worthy replacement for my previous favorite indoor smoke, the late, lamented King Arthur Blend (originally Middle Earth Blend) from thepiperoom.com. It also had that latakia note.
I haven't tried any of the others in the Middle Earth line yet; as for the sampler: some look and smell promising, a few are too heavily cased and/or top dressed for my taste but I'll give them a try in a cob.

Try Morning Coffee from Just For Him for an aromatic that's better than most.
Does the Shortcut to Mushrooms really taste like mushrooms? Because, I'm not a fan of mushrooms, but everyone says it's great.

@mattia
The tobacco doesnt actually taste like mushrooms, but it has a musty earthiness that lends itself to mushrooms. If the name wasn't shortcut to mushrooms, nobody would say it tasted like mushrooms! They would just say "golly that earthy note is simply splendid!!" haha :D

unclearthur...

Would you know the title for this article?

I could not find it, unless it is the recent "Saving for a Rainy Day".
