If I may offer a fun suggestion; given the "Space Dog" theme, you should have it stamped "Laika" which is the name of the first dog actually launched into space on Sputnik 2 during the then Soviet program.

I just heard back from Michael and the meteorite material he uses is Gibeon. We'll get specifics later, but he's done another pipe when he sliced the material into flakes and suspended them inside a clear resin. I'm excited beyond belief to see how this turns out!! Here's the pipe with the meteorite inside the resin collar. Slick!!
