If you had a proper styled and manufactured metal pipe tobacco tin for Prince Albert, Sir Walter Raleigh, Half and Half.. and others.

would the tin make you feel better about paying the current prices for these tobaccos? Or make them more enjoyable for you?

No - if it is in a tin it will cost more, makes no sense as a question. If someone would enjoy a proper metal tin like the old days, great, but they aren't made for a reason.

I guess if my Jeep had come with an extra set of tires for the same price I'd like that, but . . . of course it didn't and it's fantasy to try and imagine it otherwise.

SWRA is anywhere from 20% to more than 50% less than other tobacco I enjoy that I buy, as opposed to costs already sunk into the "cellar" - it's a bargain at "current prices". Prices are the prices.

None of the Wilke I buy comes in a tin and all it would do is add cost if it did, KBV comes in nice pouches, not tins.

If we're going to fantasize about things there are probably better things to dream about than a tin, lol.

I wish they still made those.
