Ok, it's a late katana Shinto-Shinshinto blade, but I don't remember the details. And it's fitted with WWII army furniture for a field grade officer. Got it from a vet about 40 years ago who "liberated" it at the end of the war. Oh, and notice, unlike most people, I display it correctly and I'm not even Japanese!!!Merry Christmas!
I want to know more about the katana! Or is that a tachi? Hard to judge the length based on the lens distortion and relative objects/kitties.
