I mentioned this glass candlestick in post #700 in the "What Are You Reading Now" thread. My grandmother saw me admiring it once when my wife and I were visiting her house. It's not a valuable antique, it was probably cheap when it was new, most likely in the 30's. I liked it though because of it's imperfections... Nothing is quite straight, the top sits a bit crooked, etc. Sort of like a lost wax casting where everything sagged a bit. Anyway, I'd pretty much forgotten about it when I unwrapped it the next Christmas, and then remembered. This was close to 50 years ago, and it's been one of the more memorable, cherished gifts I ever received. My book and pipe are leaning on it in this pic.
