And! That person doesn't seem to remember the charity name.

If you want to clean up your tin you might try using some Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. It's what I use on the tins in my collection and I find it to work very well in bringing out their colors and making them look gorgeous.

When I was 3 my Teddy Bear Charlie who I’d had since birth and was then in tatters didn’t get to sleep with me Xmas Eve - I was told Santa’s elves needed to fix him. Next morning - he looked brand new sitting under the tree. My mom told me years later the search for the identical replacement took a lot longer than she expected and came down to the wire, lol.

I remember in the 80's getting the GI Joe aircraft carrier.



There are quite a few memorable gifts over the years, but the common thing with all of them is the memory of WHO gave the gift at certain wonderful points in my life.

The one that stands out to me the most is when I met my wife, she was so thrilled that I didn't drink, and at the time, I didn't at all. I just never liked the taste. Then on our first Christmas, she gave me a personalized flask. I think this was a sign that she knew that she was going to drive me to drink, ha ha.

My favorite that I received for Christmas was a Stinger double seat go cart like this one. I had been wanting one for a long time and got one for Christmas one year. I remember my mom and dad telling me to look outside, and there it sit next to our front porch. It was snowing and cold, so I didin't get to ride it much that day, but I was so excited! Found out later that my mom and dad had purchased it from a OTASCO store near our home. Do any of you guys remember OTASCO stores?

Not Transformers, and though it hasn't arrived yet, but among other things they got me a skull yarn bowl. They did good.

Not me but my Dad wanted a horse, he lived on a farm and times were tough, him and 2 brothers out there stockings up, woke up early Christmas morning, he found horse shit in his stocking, Grandfather said you got up too late your horse shit and gone, true story.

Christmas 1984.
My wife bought me my first CAO Meerschaum. A Cavalier figural with a small bowl that I still have and smoked occasionally. The longest smoke I've gotten out of it is about 40 minutes.
