I mean, I bought it for $10, I'm a knick-knacker, so to me, thats worth the $10 just for a shelf piece.
Side note. How should I store my tobacco? I've always kept it in plastic bags, but they seem to dry out pretty quickly.
Is there a wiki or FAQ I can read up? I'm pretty new to the whole pipe thing. I just typically smoke out of my briar wood pipe, and call it a day.
Should I actually invest in a nice meer pipe? Or will a beginner even notice the difference?

Mason jars are very good for medium to long term storage. I use double or triple wrapped plastic bags otherwise- but not the cheap ass thin ones that are prevalent.
I'd first go for a cob and then a nice briar before adding a top quality meer.
And, yes, there's a ton of info on this site; some of it overdone! Don't hesitate to ask questions, and welcome to the forum!
