Just my 2 cents but lions are supposed to be brown or tan coloured so using the pipe would make the lion look more authentic colourwise, Love the carving btw.

I'm leaning more and more towards smoking it for sure. Just haven't made up my mind yet. I'm sure I'll break down at some point and fire it, but I don't know when that's going to happen. The struggle is real. :mrgreen:

Wow! That is a good looking pipe. I haven't acquired a taste for the carved meers but that might be changing after seeing this one!

@mikethompson - I don't know man, that white lion is pretty cool looking. :mrgreen:

Being that I have 15 meerschaum pipes, not smoking one isn't that big of deal for me. If I only had one or two then that would be a different issue.
@cwarmouth - I prefer the classic shapes as well, but I do have a few figures/carved meerschaums. Certain figures/carved pipes do call to me at times, and this lion was definitely one of them.
