Meerschaum Draw Repair

Alright, I know that I have asked for some help on the MacQueen recently, but this one is more important to me. I bought a meer a while back and I really like how it smokes, but I am constantly having to relight it and I think it is because the draw is too tight. Its deffinetly not as open as any of my other pipes. My question for all of you is, where is the best place to send it? Or is there a simple fix I could do myself? Also I think it is just the stem, because when I take it apart the stem seems very closed off.

If it's a screw-in stem, or worse, one of those dreaded stinger ones, it will never smoke right. My Lionhead Meer was purchased as an estate and it had the stinger. Smoked hot, wet and crappy. Since the new push-in stem has been installed by Howard at Starfire, it's about as good if not on par with my Petersons.

If it's a stinger type you could always cut the tip of the stinger off.
This solution has seemed to help many of those that hate them.

It's a screw in and It is a pretty cool and dry smoking pipe. The only problem is the stem. I bought it from Edwards in Colorado
