Meerschaum color question

Only 50 bowls on that pipe, Voorhees? That's so damn impressive.
Condor, I'm a bit confused. You put a silver penny inside the pipe bowl, and just smoke it like that? Do you need to drill holes in the penny? How long do you leave it in there? Thanks for sharing your coloring technique. I really appreciate it. Might I also add, I really admire your meer collection. All beautiful pipes.
