Soo, does it always take 120 years to get them to color like that? If so... I should get started

No cake, definitely. I've got about 3 meers that are old (pictured below) and no cake as others have stated. Think of your meerschaum as a diabetic and diabetics don't get cake....

This is my Kaldenberg (I believe its from 1868 as there is an engraving around the rim indicating '68')
